High School Foreign Language Teacher

Real-Life Activities

Real-Life Communication

Foreign language teachers tend to be perfectionists. Mistakes are bound to happen, especially for beginner students. However, the goal is always to eliminate mistakes.

Even native speakers of a language make mistakes, so perfection in a second language takes a lot of hard work.

Pretend you're a teacher of beginner-level English. The following paragraph is from an essay a student submitted. See if you can find all 10 mistakes (grammar or spelling). Rewrite the paragraph without the errors.

"I has always wanted to host a television show. I think it would be alot of fun. And I would do good at it. I am friendly. I also speak good. I have had many jobs, that involved working with people. I had never been on television, but it don't look very hard. I would have to go college. May be I would like that."
