Additional Information

Professional Christian counselors are people who have obtained a master's degree in Christian counseling or counseling-related disciplines from an accredited university and are certified by state counseling associations.

"It's an important distinction to make because the term Christian counseling can represent many different things. But a professional must have a certain education and certification," says John Auxier. He is the director of a counseling program.
