Real-Life Decision Making

You begin a therapy session with a child who is having difficulty fitting in at school. Sandra is withdrawn and doesn't seem interested in interacting with other children.

You decide that paper and paints would be a practical medium for Sandra to express some of the emotions that are bottled up inside. She begins tentatively, and then she begins to free up her strokes and become more absorbed in her work.

She also begins to tell you about her troubles. They appear to run deeper than just having troubles at school. Sandra tells you that she is being abused by a parent who has a drinking problem.

What do you do?
