Alternative Energy Researcher

Money & Outlook

Insider Info

"We've basically seen total installed capacity doubling in the last couple years," says Mike Robinson. He is a researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

"Now there's as much installed capacity outside of California spread evenly across the States -- a lot of development in Texas -- and it's just going to continue.

"It pays by discipline of the engineering field. Most of the salaries are commensurate with years post-BS [bachelor's of science], just like you find in any engineering profession," Robinson explains.

Earnings and employment information from the U.S. Department of Labor is not available for this field at this time.
