Real-Life Decision Making

A man and a woman come to your office. You've never met them before. They got your address from the phone book.

They have a contract relating to a sale of property. They want you to notarize it.

Since you don't know them, you ask them for ID. You have to confirm who they are and that they understand what they're signing.

The man gives you his ID, but the woman doesn't.

"I'm his wife," she says. "I'm sorry, but I forgot my ID at home."

They are anxious to have the contract notarized quickly.

What do you do?
