Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You borrow a different horse and let your horse rest.

This is the real-life decision made by rodeo performer Todd Gallais.

"I think if your horse is sore and you know they're sore, if you keep using them it just escalates," Gallais says. "It might be so serious that you may have to stop using them for good, or for quite a while, anyway."

Horses can get sore from being used too much. They can get muscle strains or tendon problems. Bad horseshoeing causes problems sometimes. Rodeo performers try to make sure their horses are well shod and well rested.
