Many actors enhance their skills through formal dramatic education. Many who specialize in theater have bachelor's degrees, although a degree is not required.

The best education for this field is experience. Start as soon as you can -- that means in high school at the latest. Get involved with local and community theater troupes too.

Many actors -- but not all -- have modeling experience.

If you're still sure that you want to seek out the spotlight after acting in a local production, consider formal dramatic arts training at the college level.

Another education option takes the form of workshops. Workshops are offered by smaller acting studios in most big cities.
