Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You decide to continue treating him.

You keep on with the treatment. After a long, serious talk, your patient has agreed to do his best to watch his diet and monitor his insulin intake.

The treatment is successful -- his pancreas is doing a great job -- but the man still can't keep a handle on his diet. The next month, he has a major seizure and almost dies. He's in worse shape now than he ever was.

You regret what has happened, and vow never again to work with a client that won't take responsibility for their own health.
