Words, words, words. Lexicographers have to know all about them. They need to know what they mean and how to spell them. They also need to know where they came from and how they differ from similar words.

You are the chief lexicographer working on updating a venerated dictionary. The book is respected for having the most accurate definitions of English words. The publishers want to bring it into the 21st century by adding some words relating to the explosion of technology that took place in the late 20th century.

Prepare a definition for each of the high-tech words listed below. Here's an example:

Gigabyte: a unit of information equal to one billion (1,000,000,000) bytes or 1,000 megabytes
