You're the leader of a crew preparing to jump into a remote forest area to slow down a fire. You'll clear the fast-burning underbrush from an area, and you hope to slow down the progress of the blaze.

But because of the terrain, you can't jump directly into the area. That'll require a long hike by the 3 members of your team before they can build the firewall.

The officials in charge of the national park predict that unless the firewall is started within 6 hours, the fire will be too large to control with a small team of jumpers. But do you have enough time to make the trip before the fire burns out of control? Here's what you know:

Preparation time: 45 minutes
Travel time in plane to landing area: 25 minutes
Distance from landing area to fire: 28 miles

Normally, your team can hike at 8 miles an hour. However, because of the terrain and heavy extra gear, you'll be slowed down by 23 percent. Can you make it?
