Real-Life Communication

You're in the beginning stages for a workshop on retirement planning. You're basically a one-person show, which means you come up with the promotional brochures, the advertisements and the signs for the workshop.

Right now, you're working on the brochure and you're trying to decide what to say. It has to sound good -- otherwise, no one will come.

Here's what you want to include:

  • Retirement planning workshop given by experienced financial planner with 20 years of experience
  • From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Price is $95 and includes catered lunch
  • Topics include RRSPs, mutual funds, insurance planning and other financial options
  • Special section on getting personal finances in order
  • Asking the question: Are you doing enough to prepare for retirement?
  • Fifty-five percent of the population has no retirement plan

Prepare a short paragraph including this information. Write it in a way that will make people want to come to your seminar. Keep it under 200 words.
