You're in the planning stages for a seminar. It's going to be on improving marketing strategies.

You're planning on a group of about 60 people, so you're going to need:

  • A conference room at a hotel -- $1,500
  • A catered lunch -- $500
  • Advertising and brochures -- $450

You've also got to pay yourself. Your fee for a day-long seminar is $1,300.

How much are the participants in the seminar going to be charged to cover all the expenses? Make sure to add 12 percent to the total for everything except your fee to allow for taxes.
