Real-Life Decision Making

A sponsorship coordinator must make important decisions with every new project. Sometimes these decisions can make the difference between an event's success or failure.

Rick Doyle is a sponsorship specialist. He says it's rewarding to watch a client strategy unfold at your event and have it work.

"If ABC credit card company is your sponsor, watching them generate business through your event is great," he adds.

You are the sponsorship coordinator for a junior golf tournament. Five of your sponsors agreed and have been confirmed. You have verbal agreements with three more sponsors.

As the tournament nears, one more sponsor commits, but it becomes obvious that the other two are no longer interested. You were counting on their financial support to help make this event a success.

What do you do?
