Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

Don't tell anyone and vow never to make the same mistake again

You're a pathologists' assistant, and you just realized you skipped a step in your biopsy. Instead of informing the pathologist of your error, you decide not to say anything.

You worry about your decision all week. If the mistake is discovered, it will lead back to you. You could be reprimanded for the mistake, and it could end up hurting your career.

Even worse, you worry about the patient. If the pathologist's diagnosis is wrong because of the missed step, it could result in the person's death.
