Real-Life Decision Making -- Solution

You politely put them off -- you don't want to jeopardize your reputation by being a part of a scam.

This is the real-life decision that trial consultant Patrice Truman would make. "You have to be an ethical person," says Truman. "I think that if there is a case that you don't feel right about, I don't think you should take it."

You tell the client that while the case is interesting, and you sympathize with Ms. Brown, you just don't think you are the right person to help them.

"I can't really see how I can present this evidence to your advantage," you say. "I would need more time than I have to produce the kind of video you're talking about. But thanks for coming to me and good luck with your case."

Your practice continues as usual. Your reputation is intact and so is your conscience.
